  • Emotional disconnection or growing apart

Nupur Vaghasia portrait

As a trauma-informed therapist, I prioritize creating a relationship with you where you don’t have to perform or be “put together”. I bring gentle structure, follow your pace, and help you explore emotional patterns and protective strategies, all while creating space for all parts of you.

About Me

Hi, I’m Nupur.

I am a therapist-in-training (MHC-LP) offering reflective and responsive care for those navigating anxiety, identity, intergenerational trauma, and life transitions. I hold a Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from Teachers College, Columbia University.

As a South Asian woman, I bring my understanding of how culture and histories shape our emotional lives. At the same time, I want to hear and understand yours, too.

My work is rooted in psychodynamic and relational therapy. We'll explore the patterns and relationships that have shaped you without any judgement or blaming, and reflect on how they show up currently in helpful and unhelpful ways. I also incorporate somatic and mindfulness-based practices to help you tune into your body’s wisdom. When needed, I bring in psychoeducation or CBT tools in a way that’s integrated and empowering. We do all this while meeting ourselves with curiosity and compassion.

Together, we gently explore what’s underneath and what’s ready to heal.

I’m ready when you are :)

My philosophy

I believe therapy is not about fixing you. It’s about reconnecting with the parts of yourself that have long deserved care. This is a space where you don’t need to shrink, translate, or prove your pain; you can simply be seen and heard.

I welcome people of all backgrounds, identities, and orientations, and I aim to create a space where your full self is not just accepted, but affirmed. Together, we'll explore emotional patterns, unpack protective strategies, and nurture a deeper connection to yourself, so healing feels both possible and authentic.

Whether this is your first time in therapy or you’ve been here before, my goal is to help you feel safe, supported, and empowered to explore and heal in a way that feels authentic to you.
